Sundara Ibiza guide: house, funk and disco under the Palm Star

Sundara is the kind of club people find by word of mouth. It's a single room in the basement of a hotel in San Antonio Bay, with room for a few hundred people, a serious sound system and a music policy that sticks to house, funk and disco. Here's what to expect.

A basement club with good sound

Sundara is in the basement of The Palm Star Ibiza hotel, at the Cala de Bou end of San Antonio Bay. Ibiza Spotlight gives a capacity of 380 (an older listing mentions two rooms and 500), describes the space as intimate and elegantly designed, and highlights its Funktion One sound system. The music is classic house, funk and disco, chosen for quality rather than headline names.

Good for solo travellers

Sundara has a reputation that's rare in Ibiza: it goes out of its way to welcome people who come alone. According to Ibiza Spotlight, guests who say they're on their own are introduced to others during the night. For Promised Land in 2025, a host met guests at the door with the same idea in mind.

The parties

PartyWhat we know
Promised LandWednesdays in 2025; opened by Todd Terry in late May, Mousse T the second week; free before midnight, pre-sale €20 max

Hours and prices

Club nights usually run from 21:30 to 05:00, an earlier start than most Ibiza clubs. Ibiza Spotlight lists entry from €15, with a higher price on the door, so buying in advance is worth it. There's no published dress code; it's a relaxed house and disco crowd. Bring photo ID, since entry is 18+.

Getting there

Sundara is inside The Palm Star Ibiza hotel in San Antonio Bay. A taxi from central San Antonio costs about €12–15 according to Ibiza Spotlight, and there's a taxi rank right outside the hotel for the way back.

Who Sundara suits

Sundara suits people who love classic house and disco, who prefer a small room to a superclub, and especially anyone travelling alone. It's also a good choice for a night when the big clubs feel like too much. If you want a bigger electronic club in the same area, Eden in central San Antonio is the obvious next step; if you're over 27 and want something more eccentric, there's Pikes.

We'll add 2027 dates to our Sundara page as soon as the venue publishes its programme.

Quick tips

  • Buy in advance: the door price is higher.
  • Go early. With a 21:30 start, Sundara works well as the first stop of the night.
  • If you're alone, say so at the door.
  • Use the taxi rank outside the Palm Star for the way back.
  • Check the party before you go; the room is small and popular nights fill up.

A different side of San Antonio

San Antonio is often associated with big bars and loud nights in the West End. Sundara shows another side of the area: a small, carefully designed room where the sound system and the records matter more than the crowd size. Combined with a sunset on the Sunset Strip earlier in the evening, it makes for a relaxed but proper night out on the west coast of the island.

And if you're planning a trip around a specific party, such as Promised Land, message us before you book flights and we'll tell you what's confirmed.

Bring photo ID, and remember that the night starts earlier here than at most clubs.
